Our Purpose

Saint Mary's schola exists to elevate the liturgy of the sung Mass. We welcome all singers, experienced or not.

Rehearsal Details

Rehearsals are on Sundays at 2 pm in the kitchen area of the parish, unless otherwise indicated.

Our Approach

Everyone is encouraged to learn the Ordinaries of the Mass and we extend this encouragement to the congregation. The Propers are meant to sound as unified as possible, therefore we divide each week's Propers between men's and women's voices. Everyone in the schola is encouraged and welcome to learn the Propers. You might choose one or two to start with. If you can sing a chant basically on your own you are ready to join others singing the Propers. Perfection is NOT required. We've all been there!
