Hymn for after the Offertory/Communion: Jesu Rex Admirabilis and if needed O Cor Jesu
The shape of this celebration will be a bit different from the end of Mass. We will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at which time O Salutaris will be chanted (Father has a preferred version by a French composer I will have copies of on Sunday). Father will intone the Litany of the Sacred Heart and make an act of Consecration. Next Father will intone the Carolingian Acclamations (Laudes Regiae) for which we will lead the responses. Adoration will last several minutes before Vespers followed Benediction (including Tantum Ergo, and the Divine Praises in Latin) at the very end. MM will be anti-cantor for Vespers, but everyone is encouraged to join in if able. As Father indicated if you stay for the entire thing it should take approximately 2.5 hours. After the Mass there will be opportunities to slip out if needed. There will be comprehensive booklets with most everything we will need provided on Sunday.
